About Me

Hello, and thank you for visiting my page.

I’m a writer and editorial specialist with a background that bridges creative storytelling, cultural nonfiction, academic analysis, and twenty years of professional communication. I help authors and organisations shape writing that is engaging and thoughtfully crafted.

My editorial practice is grounded in professional training and supported by hands-on work with educational publishers, fiction platforms, and independent authors. I have experience editing culturally sensitive nonfiction, reflective essays, and early-stage manuscripts, as well as creating original short fiction for a US-based YA educational programme. This blend of creative and analytical work gives me a nuanced understanding of voice, audience, and readability.

Before moving full-time into editing and writing, I spent over a decade in senior operational and communication roles where detail and accuracy were essential. That background shaped my editorial style: collaborative, calm under pressure, and consistently meticulous.

My approach

I believe good editing is a supportive partnership. Writers often tell me they appreciate my attentive working style and my ability to explain editorial suggestions in a way that feels constructive rather than intrusive.

I work to agreed timelines, communicate clearly, and bring care and curiosity to every manuscript — from short stories and essays to longer-form nonfiction and educational materials.
