Australian by birth, Scottish by choice, it seemed sensible to use the longitude of my hometown as my business name. I’m Australian and always will be. The accent cannot be denied! (G’day!)
Always an avid reader, I now find myself helping authors create their best work – and turning a passion into a profession is a dream come true.
I realised I’ve been editing in one form or another for most of my working life. Almost all my jobs involved editing, even if it was simply sharpening text with a better word.
As an Executive Assistant for just shy of 30 years, all but two being at Board / C-Suite level, I worked in a large variety of industries on two continents, editing all kinds of documents and websites as part of my day to day role. Redundancy in 2019 gave me the push to go freelance – and it’s been terrifying and incredibly satisfying in equal measure.
33 South Textworks encapsulates all my knowledge and experience, focused now on perfect text – whether it be business documents, stories, newsletters or websites. All of which tell a story. All of which deserve to be the best they can be.
That’s what it’s all about, after all – a love of storytelling. Right?
I’m a registered Data Controller with the ICO and hold Professional Indemnity insurance from Policy Bee.
