I am a copy-editor and proofreader with a background in law and am a Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading. My law degree is from Glasgow University and I previously worked in private practice for a number of years. I trained as a proofreader with the Publishing Training Centre and the SfEP and have over five years’ experience in copyediting.
I work on academic titles, but do not proofread dissertations. My recent clients have included Osprey Publishing, Red Globe Press and Taylor & Francis. I can work either from hard copy or on screen, on PDFs or in Word, and my experience is in titles in the areas of business, history, law, literature, memoir, politics, religion and social sciences.
